We Take a Great Amount of Pride in What We Do
Prevention is the only quantifiable solution to our current society. The signs are here, and the numbers are going in the wrong direction. Village of Warriors is taking a stand for our youth. We are taking part in nurturing our communities and planting the seeds of prevention. Together, we are forging a difference in our communities that builds confidence and resilience within our youth while empowering each other to face the future with resolve.

“My passion is people. With over 25 years in the security software and technology world, as serial entrepreneur and a masters in Counseling Psychology I’ve turned my time and attention to helping others and giving back. I joined the VOW board as CFO for the sake of contributing to this foundation to help steer the ship and provide services where it’s in dire need today.”

Tom Gary
My name is Tom Garry and I am a 68 year old Christian man living in San Jose, California. I was born in Boston and Started working for HP in May of 1974. I was relocated by HP to our Office in San Jose in June of 1984 to assist with the many system installations that were taking place due to the rapid growth of Silicon Valley. I recently retired from HP in May 2022, and I am now ready to give back to Society, as a full fledged member of the Village Of Warriors (VOW).

I am a Marine Corps veteran with a thirst for public service and helping others. Having known Founder Anthony Baker for more than 20 years, I was honored to be asked to join the Village of Warriors Board as a founding board member. Anthony and I served together for nearly our whole 4-year enlistment in the US Marines. It was these few short years that I was able to see Anthony’s thirst and passion for life and helping others firsthand. I am happy and honored to be a member of this community and am looking forward to many years of growth and development of the Village Of Warriors and setting paths for the future of the younger generations.

I’m from a small town called Tulare, Ca. What started out as a quiet place ideal for raising a family soon became ravaged by drugs in the late 80’s. I witnessed the destruction that the drugs had on the community & families first hand. I graduated from Georgia State University with a BS in sociology. Now I help people who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction find treatment facilities so they can get back to becoming the best version of themselves. When the opportunity to join the board of the VOW presented itself I jumped at the chance. I believe in the saying, “Each one, teach one.” The more children we can build up and teach personal responsibility, accountability, compassion, and self pride the stronger the community will become.
