We Are

Building Resilient Youth

Building resilient youth requires a combination of discipline, guidance, and empowerment, and martial arts provides the perfect platform to achieve this. Through structured training, young people develop physical strength, self-confidence, and emotional resilience while learning respect, perseverance, and focus.

We Take a Great Amount of Pride in What We Do

Prevention is the only quantifiable solution to our current society. The signs are here, and the numbers are going in the wrong direction. Village of Warriors is taking a stand for our youth. We are taking part in nurturing our communities and planting the seeds of prevention. Together, we are forging a difference in our communities that builds confidence and resilience within our youth while empowering each other to face the future with resolve.

Our History

Expertise and Specialization: The craftsmen & coaches we work with have a lifetime of knowledge and expertise in different areas of business, trade skill, and martial arts. We bring a depth of experience and understanding that can provide valuable insights and solutions. This sharing of knowledge is one of our goals as we want to build strong adults.

Turning Pain Into Purpose for Our Youth:

“You caught me at a strange moment in my life. Last week, my brother discovered a young man who had died by suicide behind his workplace. He FaceTimed me to ask what he should do, and seeing that young man affected me deeply. I did not know him, but he was a teenager, just like my son.

That moment stayed with me.

I want to be part of something that creates hope, belonging, and strength for the next generation.”

This is OUR Village

Our instructors have a lifetime of experience. It will be evident they are sharing high quality information even after one class. From welding, carpentry, to auto/ diesel mechanics we want to get life changing skills to interested individuals.

“My passion is people. With over 25 years in the security software and technology world, as serial entrepreneur and a masters in Counseling Psychology I’ve turned my time and attention to helping others and giving back. I joined the VOW board as CFO for the sake of contributing to this foundation to help steer the ship and provide services where it’s in dire need today.”

Anthony Baker

I was born from a 21 year old mother, who raised me the best she could. With no father in the picture our home was small, but powerful. My mother got help wherever she could while she worked to give me the best things life could offer. I didn’t know it at the time, but it was the network of people my mother knew that helped to raise me and make sure I made it through as many years of my life as possible. I spent many summers attached to other families getting that “whole family” experience that I could not get at my house. It really did take “a village” to raise me. At 44 years old with 2 children, I now understand what it truly means to give back and play it forward, so I started the Village of Warriors.

I’ve coached youth basketball for several years, spent nearly 20 years in sales, and now own DadBod T-shirt Shop and The Floating Spaceman, where I work in custom apparel, video design, and media production. My connection to Village of Warriors is personal. I was once a troubled youth, and I know how important mentorship, structure, accountability, and second chances can be. I believe young people need positive adults, real guidance, and a community that helps them see what they’re capable of becoming. Through Village of Warriors, I’m proud to help support a mission focused on confidence, discipline, opportunity, and building a stronger future for the next generation.
